Throughout the year, we organize gatherings that unite local citizens and veterans to support those who served. Starting with the Flags for Fallen Heroes 5K Walk/Run and our Golf Classic, which generate crucial aid for our operations, through to the Annual Birthday Celebration, Memorial Rites, and our local Wreaths Across America initiative, every occasion signifies our oath to remember and assist.
These gatherings reinforce our objectives and show that devotion persists well beyond active duty. We welcome all neighbors — former service members and civilian families alike — to participate, lend a hand, and sustain the bond of fellowship that marks Ward Roney Jr. VFW Post 7511.

Flags for Our Fallen Golf Tournament
Each autumn, the Flags for the Fallen Golf Classic unites our supporters for a day of sport while securing essential resources to maintain VFW Post 7511 and the vital programs we provide today.

Honoring with Wreaths
Each winter, we host the Ward Roney Jr. VFW Post 7511 Anniversary Pancake Breakfast —a special event that salutes our storied past, celebrates our current advocates, and launches a new season of dedicated outreach for local heroes.
Observed every May, our post holds an Annual Memorial Day Tribute to pay homage to the courageous individuals who gave all. We convene to decorate the resting places of the departed with colors, meditate on their valor, and ensure their story remains a permanent part of our community fabric.
A meaningful tradition held every December; our neighbors unite for Wreaths Across America to show gratitude to the patriots who protected our land. By laying evergreens at veteran headstones, we cherish their souls, acknowledge their duty, and guarantee that their huge sacrifices remain remembered.

Staged every spring at Lake Tye, the Flags for Fallen Heroes 5K Benefit celebrates the noble souls who offered their lives while defending our nation.
